Restorative Yin Yoga is all about slowing down and opening the body through passive movement. Poses are held 3-5 minutes to stress the connective tissue and fascia around a joint while allowing the muscles to relax deeply. All movements are practiced either lying down or sitting, promoting flexibility in areas often lacking mobility such as hips, lower spine and shoulders. This practice has profound benefits for the health of our organs and our emotional well-being.  Singing bowls will occasionally be used to enhance relaxation.
