Thermal Experience

The thermal experience consists of alternating hot, cold and rest to eliminate toxins, stimulate blood circulation and increase the heart rate to feel a sense of well-being.

It is recommended to repeat this cycle 3 to 4 times for an optimal thermal experience.

For an optimal experience, we recommend that you stay with us for a period of 2 to 3 hours. You will love how it makes you feel, it is guaranteed!

Our site can accommodate up to about 100 guests, this allows us to give you a better peace of mind during your stay, to enjoy each facilities to the fullest.
No reservations are required for the spa experience.
The thermal experience takes place year-round, rain or shine. However, in case of a storm, the baths may be closed temporarily.
We provide 2 towels per guest as well as a locker. You must bring your bathing suit and beach sandals. You can also bring your bathrobe or rent one at the reception desk. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle (no glass container); water fountains are available on the site.

We also suggests to bring a book, sunglasses, and sunscreen in the summer. In winter, also bring a tuque.
The site is reserved for people aged 16 and over, with the exception of family mornings where we welcome children from the age of 5.
Yes, we offer massages adapted for pregnant women. However, the thermal experience is not recommended during the entire pregnancy.
  • It is important to stay hydrated throughout your experience. Water fountains are available near the locker rooms and in the sauna building to fill your reusable bottles.
  • It is important to listen to your body and respect your limits.
  • Thermotherapy is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • It is strongly recommended that you consult your health-care professional before visiting if you suffer from any particular health conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure / hypotension, diabetes or breathing problems.

Our Services

  • Do I have to book a massage in advance?

    It is mandatory to book for all massages with a credit card number (MasterCard or Visa). Any cancellation or change within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a $ 95 fee plus tax. You can book online, by phone or at our location.
  • Is the thermal experience included with the purchase of a massage?

    At Usva, we offer you the choice to come for a massage only, or for a package that includes the thermal experience. Visit our rates sections to find out more!
  • Can I receive care if I am subjected or suffering from some health problems?

    It is important to share any health condition you may have with the massage therapist, including giving specific answers on the health questionnaire which you will be asked to fill out before your massage.

    Pregnant women
    Prenatal massages are very beneficial but are not recommended during the first trimester. Essential oils are also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

    With or without thermal experience
    You may enjoy a massage even if you do not wish to experience thermotherapy.

    Insurance
    Check with your insurance company before your massage to confirm your coverage plan.
  • Is there a minimum age to enjoy your services?

    Massages are for guests at least 16 years old.
  • What is you cancellation policy?

    You can cancel and / or reschedule your massage without charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. A cancellation fee of $ 95 plus tax applies if cancellation is made within 24 hours.
  • Which services are refundable by my private insurance?

    All our massage therapists are accredited. They can issue receipts for insurance purposes. Insurance receipts cannot be issued when paying with a gift certificate.
  • Is it necessary to fully undress to receive a massage?

    All our massage therapists work professionally, with the utmost respect for each individual. Be assured that you will be covered at all times by a sheet to respect your privacy. Only the area to be massaged is uncovered. It is best to receive a massage when no clothes are worn, but we respect the choice of our customers who prefer to keep their underwear.
  • I lost my insurance receipt, is it possible to have another?

    Yes, we can issue you a new receipt for insurance purposes. Please email us at info@usva.ca with your name, date of appointment and mailing address. We will send your receipt by mail within 7 to 10 days.

Gift Certificates

  • The expiration date of my gift certificate is approaching or is already passed, is it still good?

    Usva Spa Nordik honors valid gift certificates, regardless of the expiry date. However, after one year from the date of purchase, it is only valid for its monetary value.
  • I lost my gift certificate is it possible to find it?

    We can try to find it, however please note that we do not do any research on site, in order to protect the identity and personal information of the buyer. Write to us at info@usva.ca. Please allow 7 to 10 business days to receive an answer.
